Brooke completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Newcastle in 2009. Her Honours thesis explored subtypes within genetic microdeletion syndrome, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and was published in Research in Developmental Disabilities (see below). She completed her PhD in the School of Medicine and Public Health, Faculty of Health at the University of Newcastle in 2018. Brooke’s research focused on investigating the parental experiences of accessing and utilising health care to help best to care for their child with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.
