I have worked as an Academic in the School of Psychology at the University of Newcastle since 2011. I teach into a range of different courses ranging from first year introductory psychology to postgraduate courses with a particular focus on Developmental Psychology including typical social-emotional development, psychopathology and disabilities. I have significant supervisory experience of undergraduate to higher research postgraduate students.I am also a registered Psychologist and a registrar in Clinical Psychology working with clients from varied backgrounds.
Ever since my undergraduate years I have found Developmental Psychology fascinating. As the lead academic in the lab, I am passionate about all the research we undertake but I have a particular interest in the impact of neurodevelopmental disabilities, not only on individuals, but also on families. I am keen to involve the community in the research we do and to move the outcomes of the research into the hands of those people who need it the most - the families!
