My Research

Picture
Miranda Cashin is an Honours student in the School of Psychology. Under the supervision of Dr Linda Campbell and PhD candidate Jaime Wroe she is working on the COPE project. The COPE project aims to investigate the effects of game-based learning using an interactive m-health game.  The ‘Choose Your Own Parenting Experience’ is a fun, interactive, game-based experience modelled on the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ format designed to be played on your mobile phone. It is designed to equip parents with parenting tips and knowledge to help them on their parenting journey.

Miranda is also a  Research Assistant for the Family Action Centre in the School of Health and  Medicine and works across a number of projects that address perinatal and postnatal mental health in both mothers and fathers. She is also a volunteer crisis supporter in the local community.

In addition, Miranda has a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) and has worked as a journalist in a variety of media roles across online, radio, TV and print media. She has a wide range of presentation experience from small community organisations to international conferences.

Her research interests include perinatal and postnatal mental health, m-mental health and smart games as a psychoeducational tool.
